PRIVATE ICE RENTAL

We have ice available PRIME ice available on Saturday & Sundays throughout the season but once they're sold, there is no more! Not all days have availability.
We do not include any additional charge for cleaning. If a mess is made, it is the renters responsibility to clean up. Trash receptacles are provided.
Private rentals come with the use of 2 of our changing rooms for 30 minutes before, and 30 minutes after your session. (2 full hours) They're nothing special but are clean, warm, and we can set up a table with some chairs for you. We allow you to bring in your own cake & food but do offer hot chocolate and other snacks at our snack bar if you'd like us to supply them. We also have rental skates for use at recreational skating sessions only at $5 per pair. (Rental skates may not be used while playing hockey.)
If you want to play hockey, hockey goals are included. Anyone playing hockey must be wearing a helmet. If you want just skate, use of our Fun Skate light system is included. We also have a sound system with access to a popular music platform via the internet.
Capacity for private rentals is typically not an issue. If you plan to have more than 75 people, please let us know, Changing room size is where we have shortcomings, capacity on the ice is in the range of 150.
ALCOHOL IS NOT ALLOWED IN ANY TOWN OF DURHAM FACILITY.
We are not able to make special arrangements for parties during public sessions due to limited available space and setting up your own party during public sessions is not permitted. Please do not make plans to have a party here during one of our public sessions.
Please answer the questions below in an email to me to get the process started. Once we've established a date and time for your rental, there's some paperwork that needs to be signed and payment must be made in advance to secure the spot. This process is done online.
- What date and time from our Open Ice list are you interested in?
- How many people are you planning on having skate?
- Do you intend to just skate, play some hockey, or both?
- Is this for use by some sort of organized group like a full team, club, civic group, school group or private for your family/friends & family?
Cost varies by time of day and length. All prices are on the PDF.
As ice is sold, the schedule will be updated as quickly as possible. There is a chance the ice you are requesting via email is already spoken for.

RENTAL SKATES AVAILABLE!
We have managed to fit 120 pairs of Rental Skates into our small office! 85 pair of hockey style skates and 35 pair of figure skates. In hockey, we have sizes from Youth 8 to Adult 15. In figure, we have sizes from Youth 8 to Ladies 13, Men's 12
Rental skates are first come first served and cost is $5 per pair per session. Rental skates may NOT be used during hockey sessions as they're not designed to take the abuse of being hit by sticks & pucks.
Rental Skates are only for use at Churchill Rink and may not be taken off-site.
