Registrations for SLUSH CUP 2019 open! (Click HERE for info!)
This years 3rd Annual Slush Cup will be played in memory of Walter J. Farmer (Wally) who passed away unexpectedly on November 11, 2018. Wally was a hockey player and referee. Wally helped me schedule all the referees for the 2018 Slush Cup and his presence will be missed at this years event but his memory will be present!
As a tribute to Wally, and in an effort to spread information about heart attack awareness, we will be renovating our Referee/Coaches room in honor of our friend. Some space in the room will contain information for others to view that may help them understand the signs and symptoms of a heart attack. Please stop and check the room out once it's complete!

Please join his family as they plan to go skating at the Biddeford Ice Arena on Sunday, November 18th from 2-3pm during the Sunday Glide hour as a way to show gratitude and thankfulness for Wally’s love of life and of the ice!
Address: Biddeford Ice Arena 18 Pomerleau St, Biddeford, ME 04005
Lastly, his wife wishes to leave you with a Psalm she believes captures the life Wally sought to live daily:
Psalm 131 New King James Version (NKJV)
Simple Trust in the LORD
A Song of Ascents. Of David.
131 LORD, my heart is not haughty,
Nor my eyes lofty.
Neither do I concern myself with great matters,
Nor with things too profound for me.
2 Surely I have calmed and quieted my soul,
Like a weaned child with his mother;
Like a weaned child is my soul within me.
3 O Israel, hope in the LORD
From this time forth and forever.
Come skate with us! Our LIVE schedule has all the current public sessions on it for you to see.
WE HAVE RENTAL SKATES! We recently purchased 85 pair of new Riedell rental skates! As rental fleets go, we still have a limited selection and sizes are first come first served. Rentals are $5 per pair per session.
Our standard, recurring public session times are posted on our website. We also add "EXTRA" sessions when possible to fill slots that may open up.
ARE WE OPEN, YOU ASK?
like most rinks in wintry locations, Churchill Rink's default status is "OPEN FOR BUSINESS"! We leave it up to our customers to use their own best judgment in deciding whether or not to travel to the rink.
Only in extreme or uncontrollable conditions (like a power outage, declared state of emergency, or wicked bad storm) do we close the rink leaving our users with no place to skate.
If you are scheduled to skate on a day when the weather is acting up, please contact your organization for information on whether your session has been cancelled or made optional.
If the rink does close, we will post that information here and on our facebook page as SOON AS WE are able.
Thank You - Bill Page, Rink Manager
PLEASE NOTE - Churchill Rink accepts CASH & CHECKS ONLY.
